We spent the weekend exploring downtown Tarnów. On Saturday we drove and parked downtown and on Sunday we took public transportation to change things up a bit. The weather has been perfect for walking and exploring the city streets and even though we've been downtown numerous times before, there were still plenty of new things for us to see.

No trip to the city is complete without a stop at Pyza for some traditional Polish favorites.

Public transportation in Tarnów is quite good and you can pretty much get to most places by bus. If riding a bus isn't your thing and the weather is nice then walking or taking a bicycle is a great option here too. There are sidewalks everywhere that accommodate walkers and bikers alike.

The old Cemetery, one of the oldest in Tarnów is currently a municipal cemetery. It was established in the suburb of Zabłocie and was formerly called the Zabłocki Cemetery. The exact date (around 1790) of its opening is unknown.

We found this little gem on the outskirts of the city. They serve amazing Ukrainian Barszcz and their pierogis were some of my favorite. It's safe to say that we'll be visiting this place again soon.

We ended the day at Park Strzelecki with a couple of ice cream cones. A good way to end a great weekend.
